Quickbooks Memorised Reports

Louis Jensen - Friday, March 28, 2014

Some tips when setting up Memorised reports:

Prior to memorising a report:

  • Dates - select a date range from the drop-down window rather than specifying actual from  to dates e.g. instead of selecting first and last day of last month, rather select 'Last Month' from Dates drop-down field. This way the date range will default to the most recent completed month, which is useful for monthly reports
  • Header/Footer - specify a brief but meaningful report title in Modify Report, Header/Footer, Report Title. Consider numbering reports for future reference by inserting a number before report title. The title will also become the default name on the Memorised Reports list
  • Fonts & Numbers - modify as required, e.g. for financial reports show negative numbers in parentheses and in red. Show all numbers without cents, unless essential
  • Print - click the Print button to select the desired printing options. This selection will save with other settings
Accessing the Memorised Report list can be done via:
  • Report Centre, Memorised button top left
  • Reports on drop-down menu, Memorised Reports, Memorised Reports List
  • clicking MemRpts icon on icon bar - set up such an icon as follows:
  • View (from drop-down menu)
  • Customise Icon Bar
  • Select MemRpts & click OK
Print a list of Memorised Reports (useful if you have a large number of reports memorised):
  • from the Memorised Reports list, click Memorised Report button (foot of screen)
  • print list
